So taking the last few steps to the summit was my biggest moment in climbing, and it was like walking into space. I felt more like an astronaut than a climber, looking down on the Himalayan giants and the valleys below. It was a joyful moment and I felt a great sense of achievement and relief. Everest is a gigantic mountain that you must stay focused on all the time. You have to push hard and have luck on your side, but the rewards are great. I shall never forget it.
